Yani Tseng wins Corning Classic

CORNING, N.Y., May 24 (UPI) -- Yani Tseng shot a 5-under-par 67 Sunday for a one-shot victory in the final Corning Classic in New York.

Tseng, of Taiwan, finished at 21-under 267.

Paula Creamer (65) and Soo-Yun Kang (69) shared second place at 268, followed by Mika Miyazato (70), alone in fourth at 269.

Tseng's win was her second on the LPGA Tour.

"I feel really good right now," she said after the event. "On the back nine, I was playing really aggressive because I knew I hadn't made enough birdies to be on top."

Tseng won $225,000.

The tournament was the final Corning Classic, which had been played in Corning, N.Y., for 31 years.
