WARSAW, Poland, May 23 (UPI) -- Romanian qualifier Alexandra Dulgheru picked up her first WTA Tour title Saturday with a three-set win over Alona Bondarenko in the Warsaw Open.

Dulgheru, a 19-year-old ranked 201st in the world, posted a 7-6 (7-3), 3-6, 6-0 victory over Bondarenko. She became the fifth player with a ranking higher than 200 to win a WTA singles title.

"It's something unbelievable; I'm speechless about it," said Dulgheru. "All I can say right now is that it gives me confidence to go on, to keep improving for the future."

Bondarenko finished as the runner-up at this tournament for the second time. She also lost in the 2007 final to Justine Henin.
