MINNEAPOLIS, May 23 (UPI) -- Michael Cuddyer hit for the cycle and drove in five runs Friday in pacing Minnesota to an 11-3 clubbing of Milwaukee.
Cuddyer became the second Minnesota player this year, and 10th in franchise history, to hit for the cycle. Jason Kubel also did so on April 17.
After losing six games in a row, Minnesota has won two straight. The Twins scored 31 runs in those two victories after managing 22 runs combined in the six losses.
Cuddyer hit a three-run homer in the first inning, had a double and scored in the third, singled in a run in the fourth and completed the cycle with an RBI triple in the sixth.
Justin Morneau went 3-for-5 with a triple and two RBI for the Twins.
Kevin Slowey (6-1) grabbed the victory by allowing three runs on eight hits over 7 1/3. Manny Parra (3-5) was roughed up for nine runs on eight hits in just 3 1/3.
