VIRGINIA WATER, England, May 21 (UPI) -- David Horsey is among three players sharing the lead at 5-under-par 67 through 18 holes at the BMW PGA Championship in Virginia Water, England.
The native of Wilmslow, England, completed his round after an early start Thursday and later was joined by countryman Anthony Wall and Spain's Gonzalo Fernando-Castano at the top of the leader board.
"I started off a little bit slow (but) I'm very pleased with how I finished," Horsey, a former Walker Cup player, said on the European Tour Web site.
"My iron play was good today," said Wall. "The greens were very, very good this morning, so if you hit a good shot, you're fine."
Five golfers -- Sweden's Niklas Fasth, South Africa's Carl Schwartzel, defending champion Miguel Angel Jimenez of Spain and Barry Lane and Ross Fisher, both from England -- all shot 4-under 68 and share fourth place at the Wentworth Golf Club.
