MLB: Cleveland 8, Kansas City 3

KANSAS CITY, Mo., May 21 (UPI) -- Asdrubal Cabrera had four hits and two RBI Thursday, propelling the Cleveland Indians to an 8-3 victory against the Kansas City Royals.

Shin-Soo Choo had three hits and two RBI. Victor Martinez had two hits and three RBI.

Jhonny Peralta's lone hit, an RBI double, snapped a 3-3 tie with one out in the top of the eight, while Luis Valbuena added two runs and two hits for the Indians, who have won four of five.

Winner Carl Pavano (4-4) yielded three earned runs and six hits in six innings with one walk and eight strikeouts.

Three Royals had one RBI each and Mitch Maier had two of the seven hits for Kansas City, which has split its last four outings.

The losing pitcher was reliever Horacio Ramirez (0-2) after ace right-hander Zack Greinke gave up two earned runs and eight hits and two walks in six innings with eight strikeouts.
