DETROIT, May 19 (UPI) -- Mikael Samuelsson scored 5:14 into overtime Tuesday to give Detroit to a 3-2 win over Chicago and a 2-0 lead in their Western final.

Hawks defenseman Brian Campbell sent the puck to Jiri Hudler who relayed it to Valteri Filppula, who fed back to Samuelsson.

Dan Cleary and Brian Rafalski also scored for the Red Wings. Chris Osgood made 37 saves for his 10th win of this postseason.

Jonathan Toews scored both goals for the Blackhawks, who will host Game 3 in the best-of-seven series on Friday. Chicago goalie Nikolai Khabibulin stopped 35-of-38 shots.
