WASHINGTON, May 19 (UPI) -- Brandon Moss had three RBI, including the winner, in the 10th inning Tuesday to lead Pittsburgh to an 8-5 victory over Washington.
Adam and Andy LaRoche each drove in two runs for the Pirates, who have won four straight.
Tom Gorzelanny (1-0) pitched 1 1/3 scoreless innings in relief for the win. Pittsburgh starter Jeff Karstens allowed four runs on seven hits in six innings.
Adam Dunn homered and Anderson Hernandez and Wil Nieves each had two hits and an RBI for the Nationals, who suffered their sixth consecutive loss and their ninth in their last 10 games.
Joe Beimel (0-3) was charged with the loss after allowing three runs on three hits in two relief innings.
