
SEATTLE, May 19 (UPI) -- Kendry Morales hit a couple of homers, drove in three runs and went 3 for 5 Monday, lifting the LA Angels to a 10-6 victory over Seattle.
The Angels snapped a three-game losing streak.
In a five-run fifth inning, Torii Hunter stroked the go-ahead three-run double; Juan Rivera homered and scored three times, and Chone Figgins and Erick Aybar each had two hits and drove in a run.
John Lackey (1-0) allowed seven hits and five runs, four of them earned, to get the win, his sixth straight victory over the Mariners.
Russell Branyan belted a homer for the Mariners, who lost for the 11th time in 14 games. Ex-Angel Jarrod Washburn (3-3) gave up seven hits and six runs over five innings to record the loss. Washburn is winless over his last five outings.
