Errani takes tight first-round win

WARSAW, Poland, May 19 (UPI) -- Fifth-seeded Sara Errani survived a third-set tiebreak Tuesday in taking a first-round win at the $600,000 Warsaw Open tennis tournament in Poland.

Errani slipped by Greta Arn 6-2, 1-6 7-6 (7-2) despite falling behind 3-5 in the third set before forcing the decisive tiebreaker.

No. 6-seeded Daniela Hantuchova also played three sets Tuesday, finally topping Nuria Llagostera Vives 3-6, 6-3, 6-3.

Also Tuesday, local favorite Urszula Radwanska was a 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 winner over Mariya Koryttseva and Jill Craybas defeated Edina Gallovits 3-6, 7-5, 6-3.

Other winners Tuesday were: Galina Voskoboeva, Klara Zakopalova, Ioana Raluca Olaru, Alexandra Dulgheru and Darya Kustova.
