LONDON, May 18 (UPI) -- Nikolay Davydenko moved back into the Top 10 in the final men's world tennis rankings ahead of the French Open, the year's second Grand Slam event.

Davydenko had been ranked 11th the last three weeks, marking the first time he has been out of the Top 10 since May 2005. But he's advanced to the semifinals twice in his last four tournaments, which boosted him in Monday's rankings.

His move was at the expense of Gael Monfils, who slipped to 11th from 10th. Monfils has played sparingly since a tournament finals loss in Acapulco, Mexico, in February that allowed him to reach a career-best No. 9 ranking. He is 2-3 in matches since then.

With seven of the eight quarterfinals spots in last week's tournament in Madrid taken by top eight players there is no other movement in the Top 10. That eighth quarterfinal spot was taken by Ivan Ljubicic, who improved 11 spots in the rankings to 43rd as a result.

Rafael Nadal is still the top-rated player in the world, even with the Madrid finals loss to world No. 2 Roger Federer. Andy Murray is third followed by Novak Djokovic and Juan Martin Del Potro.

Andy Roddick is ranked No. 6 with Giles Simon seventh and Fernando Verdasco and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in eighth and ninth, respectively.
