SAN FRANCISCO, May 17 (UPI) -- Matt Cain pitched six long scoreless innings to help lift San Francisco over the New York Mets 2-0 Sunday.
Cain tossed 119 pitches as the Giants snapped a four-game losing streak, allowing three hits and five walks, but netting two strikeouts, for the win. He also hit an RBI and took a walk at the plate.

Three relievers finished out the game.
The Giants also benefited from three Mike Pelfrey balks.
The loss in the last game of a four-game set with the Giants was a rare setback for the Mets, who have won 11 of their last 14 games.
