FOXBOROUGH, Mass., May 16 (UPI) -- Steve Ralston scored on a penalty kick in the 18th minute Saturday, giving New England a 1-1 MLS tie against Colorado.

It was Ralston's second goal this season.

With the tie, both clubs earned a point in their respective conferences -- the Rapids (3-2-3) in the West and the Revolution (2-2-4) in the East.

Colorado grabbed a quick 1-0 lead when Conor Casey scored in the 4th minute, his fifth goal.

In the second half, Casey was denied a potential game-winner by New England netminder Brad Knighton in the 59th minute.

New England has 10 points in the Eastern Conference standings, while Colorado rose to 12 in the West.

The Revolution next faces Toronto FC, while the Rapids meet the Seattle Sounders, with both games on Saturday, May 23.
