MLB: N.Y. Yankees 6, Minnesota 4 (11 inn.)

NEW YORK, May 16 (UPI) -- Alex Rodriguez hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the 11th inning Saturday to power the New York Yankees to a 6-4 victory over Minnesota.

After Mark Teixeira walked to start the bottom of the 11th, the Yankees' third baseman homered off Craig Breslow (1-2) to give New York its fourth straight win.

Teixeira was 4-for-4 with a three-run homer for the Yankees. Alfredo Aceves (1-0) was Saturday's winner after pitching a scoreless top of the 11th. New York starter Joba Chamberlain allowed two runs in six innings.

Justin Morneau and Joe Mauer each homered for the Twins. Brian Buscher doubled and drove in two runs for Minnesota.

Twins starter Nick Blackburn allowed four runs in a 7 2/3 innings.
