CHICAGO, May 16 (UPI) -- Alfonso Soriano's second hit Saturday, a ninth-inning RBI single, boosted the Chicago Cubs to a 5-4 win over the Houston Astros, their fifth straight win.
Soriano's game-winner with one out in the bottom of the ninth erased a four-run Houston rally in the top of the inning.
Micah Hoffpauir had two hits and two RBI, while Geovany Soto had two hits and one RBI for the Cubs, who have won five of six against the Astros this season.
Sean Marshall (2-2) was the winner after ending Houston's rally by retiring Lance Berkman on an inning-ending groundout.
Houston's runs scored on solo homers by Berkman and Carlos Lee and a game-tying two-run single by "Pudge" Rodriguez with one out in the ninth.
The losing pitcher was closer LaTroy Hawkins (1-1).
