BIRMINGHAM, Ala., May 16 (UPI) -- Gene Jones and Keith Fergus held the lead at 10-under Saturday when the second round of the Regions Charity Classic was suspended by rain.

Jones was through 14 holes and Fergus through nine when play in the seniors tournament was halted for the second time.

A midmorning thunderstorm caused an initial delay of more than 3 1/2 hours. Another line of storms moved in several hours later, causing the second weather stoppage. The decision to suspend the round came an hour later.

The round is scheduled to restart Sunday morning with officials hoping to get in the third and final round, but more rain was in the Sunday forecast.

It was the first suspension this season on the Champions Tour.

Tom McKnight (10 holes) was one shot behind the co-leaders and Jay Don Blake (16 holes) and Joe Ozaki (15) were another shot back.
