
ARLINGTON, Texas, May 14 (UPI) -- Chris Davis capped a three-run ninth inning Thursday with a two-run homer and the Texas Rangers recorded a 3-2 win over the Seattle Mariners.
The victory completed a three-game sweep.
Texas trailed 2-0 before Hank Blalock's 10th homer led off the bottom of the ninth.
One out later, Davis hit his 10th following David Murphy's double.
Davis and Michael Young had two hits apiece for the Rangers, whose winning streak rose to four straight games.
They won the last two contests with game-ending rallies.
Winner Matt Harrison (4-2) went the distance, giving up two earned runs and five hits in 102 pitches with no walks and seven strikeouts.
Seattle's Russell Branyan and Wladimir Balentien both knocked in one run in the fourth.
The losing pitcher was reliever Brandon Morrow (0-3).
Starter Felix Hernandez hurled seven scoreless innings with two walks and six strikeouts for the Mariners, who have lost nine of 10.
