
HOUSTON, May 10 (UPI) -- Carlos Lee, Miguel Tejada and Ivan Rodriguez homered Sunday to boost the Houston Astros to a 12-5 rout of the San Diego Padres, completing a three-game sweep.
Rodriguez had four of his team's 16 hits, including a solo eighth-inning homer, and had two RBI. Tejada had three hits -- including a two-run first-inning homer -- and four RBI. Lee had three hits -- one a two-run sixth inning homer -- and four RBI.
Two other runs scored on Chris Burke's fourth-inning fielding error for the Astros, who had lost three straight before the sweep.
Winner Roy Oswalt (1-2) yielded four earned runs and six hits in six innings.
San Diego got two-run homers from Chase Headley in the fourth and Adrian Gonzalez in the sixth. Jody Gerut had two hits and one RBI and Headley had two hits for the Padres, who have won only twice in their last 12 games.
The losing pitcher was starter Josh Geer (0-1), who last just three innings and gave up seven runs on seven hits with three walks and no strikeouts.
