MLS: New England 1, Chicago 1 (tie)

BRIDGEVIEW, Ill., May 9 (UPI) -- Wilman Conde scored for Chicago and Shalrie Joseph scored for New England Saturday when the Fire and the Revolution played to a 1-1 tie.

It was the fifth straight tie for the Fire (2


6), which has yet to lose in the 2009 MLS season but nevertheless holds down third place in the Eastern Conference.

New England (2-2-3) is fifth in the conference.

Conde scored in the 36th minute off a corner kick taken by Cuauhtemoc Blanco. Joseph scored in the 49th minute after assists by Jeff Larentowicz and Wells Thompson.
