BOSTON, May 6 (UPI) -- Eddie House scored 31 points for the best playoff performance of his career Wednesday, carrying Boston to a 112-94 decision over Orlando.
The defending champion Celtics evened the Eastern Conference semifinal series at 1-1 after falling behind by as many as 28 points in the opening game.
Ray Allen added 22 points for Boston and Rajon Rondo had his third triple-double of the playoffs with 15 points, 11 rebounds and 18 assists.
Allen and Rondo, however, combined to make only 14-of-34 shots Wednesday after going 4-for-24 in the first game.
Boston's Paul Pierce was in foul trouble most of the night and wound up with only three points.
House made up for Pierce's problems by hitting 11-of-14 from the field for his playoff high. He was good on all four of his 3-point attempts and personally frustrated Orlando to the extent that Magic guard Rafer Alson could be looking at a one-game suspension by the NBA.
After House hit a jump shot late in the third period, Alston slapped him on the back of the head. J.J. Reddick also committed a hard foul on House in the fourth quarter and was ejected from the game.
Rashard Lewis led Orlando with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Mickael Pietrus scored 17 as well, most of them after the game had been decided.
Orlando will host the third game of the series Friday.
