VIRGINIA WATER, England, May 4 (UPI) -- Sean O'Hair's third PGA victory, which came despite two late bogeys, shoved him to a career-best No. 12 world golf ranking.

O'Hair had bogeys on Nos. 17 and 18 Sunday but had already carded enough birdies to allow him to finish 11-under-par 277 at the Quail Hollow Championship in Charlotte, N.C. He beat Bubba Watson and Lucas Glover by one stroke while Tiger Woods was fourth, two off the pace.

The win was O'Hair's first of the year and third overall and marked a continuation of his strong play in 2009. He's entered 10 tournaments this year and has finished in the top 10 six times. As a result he's third in FedEx Cup standings and has moved from No. 59 at the start of the year to 12 in Monday's latest world golf rankings.

Despite O'Hair's jump this week from 22nd in the ratings, the top of the list remained unchanged. Woods is still No. 1 followed by Phil Mickelson second, Sergio Garcia third, Geoff Ogilvy in fourth and Kenny Perry fifth.

The second five find Paul Casey in sixth, followed by, in order, Padraig Harrington, Vijay Singh, Henrik Stenson and Camilo Villegas.
