TORONTO, May 4 (UPI) -- Grady Sizemore hit a two-run double in the 12th inning Monday to give the Cleveland Indians a 9-7 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays.
The Indians and Blue Jays, both down to their final strike in the ninth inning, both staged ninth-inning rallies. Cleveland scored three runs off Brandon League with three consecutive run-scoring hits. Kerry Wood blew a save for the Indians by allowing a two-out, two-RBI pinch hit single by Jose Bautista.
Toronto starter Brian Tallet pitched 6 1/3 no-hit innings before giving up a single to Ryan Garko. He ended up allowing three runs in the seventh inning.
The Indians had 15 hits in the final 5 2/3 innings.
Asdrubal Cabrera and Sizemore each had two RBI and Matt LaPorta hit a two-run homer for Cleveland.
Rafael Betancourt (1-1) got the win for pitching two shutout innings.
