MLB: Baltimore 8, Tampa Bay 4

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., May 4 (UPI) -- Nick Markakis was 3-for-5 with a three-run homer Monday to lead the Baltimore Orioles to an 8-4 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays.

Brian Roberts had a pair of hits, including a two-run homer, and scored three runs for the Orioles, who ended a six-game losing streak. Ty Wigginton had an RBI double.

Adam Eaton gave up four runs on five hits in five-plus innings. Danys Baez (2-1) earned the win in relief with two shutout innings.

Evan Longoria, who was named the American League Player of the Week Monday, hit a solo homer for Tampa Bay. Jason Bartlett had two RBI.

Scott Kazmir (3-3) took the loss the loss after allowing six runs on seven hits, while striking out seven in 6 1/3 innings.
