COMMERCE CITY, Colo., May 3 (UPI) -- Nick LaBrocca and Kosuke Kimura scored their first goals of the season Saturday and the Colorado Rapids beat Real Salt Lake 2-0.

The Rapids' first shutout of the 2009 MLS season pushed them into third place in the Western Conference at 3-2-2 -- two points ahead of Real Salt Lake (3-3-0).

LaBrocca scored in the 11th minute off a feed from Colin Clark. Kimura scored in the 60th minute when Clark passed to Terry Cook and Cook advanced it to Kimura in front of the goal.

Real Salt Lake played the second half a man down after Jamison Olave drew a red card just before intermission.
