MLB: Milwaukee 4, Arizona 3

MILWAUKEE, May 3 (UPI) -- Chris Duffy's tie-breaking RBI groundout in the eighth inning Sunday lifted the Milwaukee Brewers to a 4-3 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks.

With the bases loaded and one out in the bottom of the eighth, Duffy's grounder to second base scored J.J. Hardy from third, giving Milwaukee the one-run advantage.

Prince Fielder and Mike Cameron hit back-to-back solo homers on successive pitches in the second off Arizona starter Yusmeiro Petit, and Cameron had two of the eight hits for the Brewers, who averted a third straight loss.

The winner was reliever Mitch Stetter, while closer Trevor Hoffman earned his third save with a 1-2-3 ninth, including two strikeouts.

Starter Dave Bush surrendered three earned runs and five hits in seven innings with no walks and seven strikeouts.

Arizona scored it runs on solo homers from Mark Reynolds, Justin Upton and Miguel Montero, all in the seventh off Bush.

The losing pitcher was reliever Juan Gutierrez (1-2).

The Diamondbacks mustered only five hits.
