DETROIT, May 3 (UPI) -- Curtis Granderson and Magglio Ordonez each drove in a run in the seventh inning Sunday, sending the Detroit Tigers on to a 3-1 win over the Cleveland Indians.
Granderson hit an RBI double and Ordonez singled in a run to break the Tigers out of a 1-1 tie.
Winner Justin Verlander (2-2) yielded a run, gave the Indians just two hits and struck out 11 batters over seven innings.
Asdrubal Cabrera drove in Cleveland's run with a single in the third inning.
Cliff Lee (1-4) took the loss, allowing three runs and 12 hits in seven innings.
