CHICAGO, May 3 (UPI) -- Derek Lee's fifth-inning grand slam Sunday propelled the Chicago Cubs to a 6-4 win over the Florida Marlins.
Lee's ninth grand slam -- his only hit of the game -- gave the Cubs a 6-2 lead with one out in the bottom of the fifth.
Mike Fontenot had two hits -- one a solo homer in the fourth. The lone hit by Aaron Miles was a second-inning RBI double, while Ryan Theriot added a run and two hits for the Cubs, who won four of their last six games.
They lost starter and winner Carlos Zambrano (3-1) to a strained left hamstring. He hurt himself while legging out a bunt single after yielding two earned runs and four hits in five innings.
Kevin Gregg, the last of four pitchers, earned his third save.
Jeff Baker's three hits and one RBI led the Marlins, who have split their last six games.
The losing pitcher was starter Ricky Nolasco (1-3).
