CHICAGO, May 2 (UPI) -- Ted Lilly held Florida to one run and fanned 10 Marlins batters in eight innings Saturday, helping the Chicago Cubs to a 6-1 victory.

His lone mistake pitch was hit for a one-out, fifth-inning homer by Cody Ross. Lilly (3-2) did not walk any batters among his 104 pitches before reliever Aaron Heilman struck out the side in the top of the ninth.

He also helped himself with two-run, third-inning double.

One of two hits for Ryan Theriot was a solo homer with no outs in the bottom of the first. Derek Lee belted a two-out, solo homer in the fourth, while three players had two hits for the Cubs, who have won the first two contests in the three-game series.

Four others had one hit for the Marlins, who have lost nine of 12 after starting the season 11-1.

Losing pitcher Anibal Sanchez (1-3) surrendered six earned runs and nine hits in four innings with four walks and five strikeouts.
