ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., May 1 (UPI) -- Evan Longoria hit a grand slam homer as part of a six-run fifth inning Friday that rallied the Tampa Bay Rays to a 6-2 decision over Boston.

The Rays have downed the Red Sox in two straight games, outscoring Boston by a combined 19-2 in the contests.

Boston had a 2-0 lead going into the Tampa Bay fifth, which Gabe Gross opened with a single off Justin Masterson (2-1). Akinori Iwamura then drew a walk, both runners advanced on a sacrifice by Dioner Navarro and Jason Bartlett was hit by a pitch to load the bases.

B.J. Upton drove in the first run of the inning with a sacrifice fly and Carl Crawford walked, bringing up Longoria. He hit a 2-2 pitch over the wall in left for his seventh homer of the year.

Carlos Pena promptly added a solo shot for his 10th blast of the campaign.

The comeback made a winner out of Andy Sonnanstine (1-3), who gave up two runs on eight hits in 5 2/3 innings.

Boston has lost three of four after winning 11 in a row.
