KANSAS CITY, Mo., April 30 (UPI) -- John Buck's three hits and five RBI Thursday led the Kansas City Royals to an 8-6 win over the Toronto Blue Jays.
The veteran catcher hit two-run triples in the second and fifth innings and a third-inning sacrifice fly. Billy Butler had two hits of nine hits and one RBI for the Royals, who turned six double plays in winning for the third time in four games.
Winner Kyle Davies (2-1) gave up three earned runs and seven hits in 5 2/3 innings.
Juan Cruz earned his first save with a 1-2-3 ninth.
Adam Lind led Toronto with two hits, including an eighth-inning two-run homer. Marco Scutaro led off the game with a homer, Raul Chavez had two hits and one RBI, and Travis Snider added an RBI for the Blue Jays, who have lost three of four.
The losing pitcher was starter Brian Burres (0-2).
