PHILADELPHIA, April 29 (UPI) -- Scott Olsen earned his first victory of the year Wednesday and Washington's relievers threw shutout ball in bringing the Nationals a 4-1 win over Philadelphia.
The Phillies had a five-game winning streak snapped, their only run coming on a first-inning homer by Shane Victorino.
Olsen (1-3) struck out six and gave up six hits over 5 2/3 innings. Garrett Mock then threw 1 1/3 hitless innings, Kip Wells worked around two walks in the eighth and Julian Tavarez collected his first save.
Washington had lost its two previous games and won for just the fifth time in 20 games this season.
The Nationals tied the game in the third when Ryan Zimmerman drew a bases-loaded walk. Elijah Dukes singled in the go-ahead run in the sixth.
Anderson Hernandez added an RBI base hit later in the sixth and also delivered a run-scoring double in the eighth.
The loss went to Brett Myers (1-2), who gave up three runs on eight hits over six innings.
