MLB: Seattle 9, ChiSox 1 (2nd game)

CHICAGO, April 29 (UPI) -- Felix Hernandez struck out nine in eight scoreless innings Tuesday, pitching Seattle to a 9-1 win over the Chicago White Sox in Game 2 of a doubleheader.

The White Sox won the opening game 2-1.

Hernandez (4-0) scattered four singles and walked one to extend his unbeaten streak.

Yuniesky Betancourt had a three-run homer and five RBI while going 4-for-5. Russell Branyan was 5-for-5 performance with one RBI and two runs.

Jose Lopez, Mike Sweeney and Wladimir Balentien each had two hits and an RBI for the Mariners, who had a season-high 19 hits.

John Danks (2-1) gave up five runs on eight hits and a walk in just over four innings. Paul Konerko drove in the lone Chicago run.
