SAN FRANCISCO, April 29 (UPI) -- The Los Angeles Dodgers scored a pair of runs in the top of the ninth Tuesday to down the San Francisco Giants 5-3.

Andrei Ethier doubled to score Manny Ramirez from third and then came home when Matt Kemp drove a triple off the top of the center field wall.

Ethier scored three times in the game. Ramirez scored the other two runs and collected three doubles.

Jonathan Broxton (2-0) picked up the win in relief of starter Chad Billingsley, who game up three runs -- two earned -- on eight hits and eight strikeouts in 7 1/3 innings. Will Ohman pitched the ninth for the save.

Bob Howry (0-2) took the loss in the ninth by giving up a lead-off double to Ramirez and allowing him to move to third on a wild pitch before serving up a slider that Either turned into a double.

Los Angeles took the early 1-0 lead in the second when Either scored on a single by James Loney.

The Giants came back with a pair of runs in a messy bottom of the third to make it 2-1. Fred Lewis opened the inning by being hit by a pitch. He moved to second on a single by Randy Winn, third on a wild pitch and scored on an error by Rafael Furcal. Winn then scored on an RBI single by Travis Ishikawa.

The Dodgers tied the game in the fourth and then went ahead 3-2 on Loney's bases-loaded walk.

San Francisco tied it 3-3 when Rich Aurelia drew a bases-loaded walk in the eighth.
