
DENVER, April 29 (UPI) -- Second-inning home runs by Chris Iannetta and Todd Helton Wednesday propelled the Colorado Rockies to a 7-5 win over the San Diego Padres.
Iannetta belted a two-run shot and also hit a sixth-inning run-scoring single for three RBI.
Helton added a two-run sixth-inning single for three RBI.
Dexter Fowler drove in a run, while Troy Tulowitzki added a run and two hits for the Rockies, who have won three of four.
Winner Aaron Cook (1-1) yielded three earned runs and five hits in seven innings.
Matt Belisle gave up a two-run eighth-inning homer to Adrian Gonzalez before closer Huston Street earned his second save by striking out the side in the top of the ninth.
Gonzalez also hit a solo homer in the seventh for three RBI in all.
Henry Blanco hit a two-run homer in the seventh for the Padres, who have lost four of five.
Losing pitcher Kevin Correia (0-2) surrendered three earned runs and six hits in five innings.
