BOSTON, April 28 (UPI) -- Paul Pierce scored with 3.4 seconds left in overtime Tuesday, handing Boston a 106-104 win over Chicago and a 3-2 lead in the Eastern quarterfinals.
After Pierce's goal, Chicago's Brad Miller missed two free throws with 2 seconds left.
Pierce had 26 points and seven rebounds. Rajon Rondo had 28 points, 11 assists and eight rebounds and Glen Davis 21 points and six rebounds for the Celtics. Kendrick Perkins added 16 points and 19 rebounds for Boston, who could close out the first round best-of-seven series in Chicago Friday.
Ben Gordon led Chicago with 26 points. Joakim Noah added 11 points and 17 rebounds and Derrick Rose had 14 points, eight rebounds and six assists.
