DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., April 27 (UPI) -- Lorena Ochoa's victory at the Corona Championships in Mexico solidified her hold on the No. 1 spot in the latest women's golf rankings, released Monday.
Ochoa matched her 2008 Corona winning score of 25-under-par, good enough for an 11-stroke win last year but only one shot ahead of runner-up Suzann Pettersen in 2009.
Choi Na-yeon was third in the tournament at 18-under. That finish allowed her to go from 20th to 12th place in the latest rankings. Hers was the only change among the top 13-ranked players
Ochoa's win gave her an average ranking of 14.47 points, double the score of every golfer except No. 2-ranked Yani Tseng (8.86 points) and No. 3 Jiyai Shin (7.24 points).
Paula Creamer remains in fourth place followed by Pettersen with Cristie Kerr sixth. Angela Stafford is seventh while Karrie Webb remains in eighth followed by, in order, Helen Alfredsson and Katherine Hull.
