Washington Capitals at New York Rangers NHL Post Season Eastern Conference Quarterfinal Game 6 in New York

NEW YORK, April 26 (UPI) -- Tom Poti posted a goal and three assists for the Washington Capitals, who beat the New York Rangers 5-3 Sunday and sent their playoff series to Game 7.

Alex Ovechkin, Mike Green, Milan Jurcina and Viktor Kozlov scored the other goals for the Caps.

Washington goalie Simeon Varlamov blocked 29 shots.

Scott Gomez, Ryan Callahan and Marc Staal got the New York goals.

Henrik Lundqvist gave up four goals and had 10 saves before he was replaced by Stephen Valiquette, who finished with two saves.

Game 7 will be Tuesday in Washington.
