SALT LAKE CITY, April 26 (UPI) -- Kobe Bryant had 38 points Saturday to lead the Los Angeles Lakers to a 108-94 win over Utah and a 3-1 lead in their Western Conference quarterfinal series.

Bryant atoned for his 5-of-24 shooting performance in Thursday's 88-86 Game 3 setback, by sinking 16-of-24 shots in Saturday's contest.

The Lakers bounced back from a 25-20 first period deficit to lead 60-53 at the half and a 12-2 run pushed their lead to 88-69 heading to the final 12 minutes.

Pau Gasol scored 13 with 10 rebounds. Lamar Odom scored 10 with 15 rebounds for the Lakers, who can wrap up the best-of-seven series Monday in Game 6 at home.

Deron Williams led Utah with 23 points and 13 assists. Carlos Boozer scored 23 with a game-high 16 rebounds. Andrei Kirilenko scored 15 with four rebounds and three steals, and Kyle Korver added 12 points for the Jazz, who went scoreless during a six-minute stretch of the third period.
