OAKLAND, Calif., April 26 (UPI) -- Kurt Suzuki drove in three runs and scored another for Oakland Sunday, helping the Athletics coast to a 7-1 win over the Tampa Bay Rays.
Suzuki posted two of his RBI with a double to left-center field during a four-run second-inning rally that sent Oakland ahead 4-1.
Nomar Garciaparra, Mark Ellis, Matt Holliday and Orlando Cabrera singled in runs for the A's.
Dana Eveland (1-1) registered the win, working five innings and allowing a run and three hits.
Loser Andy Sonnanstine (0-3) gave up all of Oakland runs and 10 hits before he left mound in the fifth inning.
