Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24
SAVANNAH, Ga., April 26 (UPI) -- Tom Lehman's 3-foot par putt on the second playoff hole gave Lehman and Bernhard Langer the championship Sunday in the Legends of Golf event in Savanna, Ga.
Lehman and Langer won the playoff over Jeff Sluman and Craig Stadler at the Westin Savannah Harbor Resort and Spa.
Lehman and Langer combined for a 10-under 62 on in the final round, tying with Sluman and Stadler (61) at 27-under-par 189.
"I had a great partner," Lehman said. "Bernhard played extremely well today. I was really proud of the way he hit the ball. We've had a lot of fun. It's been a good week."
The teams of John Cook-Joey Sindelar (64) and Loren Roberts/Mark Wiebe (65) tied for fourth place at 26-under 190.
