MORELIA, Mexico, April 24 (UPI) -- Defending champion Lorena Ochoa fired her second straight 8-under 65 Friday and opened her lead to three shots after two rounds of the Corona Championship.

Ochoa set a tournament scoring record for 36 holes with a 130 total, two shots lower than her own mark from last year.

Suzann Pettersen equaled the course record with a 64 at the Tres Marias Golf Club, moving her into second place at 133. Ochoa shot a 64 in both the 2006 and 2007 tournaments and Inbee Park equaled that score last year.

Yani Tseng (66) and Na Yeon Choi (69) shared third place at 135 and Kristy McPherson (68) was alone in fifth at 136.

Michelle Wie, who began the day a shot out of the lead, settled for a 71 Friday that left her in a tie for sixth place at 137 with Karrie Webb (67), Irene Cho (67), Sarah Lee (70) and Brittany Lang (68).

Brittany Lincicome, winner of the year's first LPGA Tour major title at the Kraft Nabisco Championship, missed the cut with a 147 total.
