CALGARY, Alberta, April 23 (UPI) -- Eric Nystrom scored the go-ahead goal with 6:56 to play Wednesday and Calgary went on to even its playoff series with a wild 6-4 win over Chicago.
The Flames let a three-goal lead get away, but came back to tie the series at 2-2 and set up a pivotal fifth game that will be hosted by Chicago on Saturday. The home team has won every game in the opening-round series.
After Chicago took an early 1-0 lead, the Flames scored four unanswered goals -- two of them by Olli Jokinen.
Jokinen's second goal, a backhander that came 9:16 into the second period, gave Calgary a 4-1 advantage and seemed to ensure an easy triumph.
But Chicago then scored three straight over the span of 7:14 of the second period. Samuel Pahlsson produced a power-play goal with 33 seconds to go in the stanza that sent the teams into the second intermission deadlocked.
It remained a tie game until Nystrom had a rebound from a Cory Sarich shot come right to his stick and he easily flicked the puck past Nikolai Khabibulin for his second goal of the series.
Jarome Iginla added an empty-net goal with 11 seconds to play, his second goal and third point of the game.
Miikka Kiprusoff stopped 28-of-32 shots to get the victory.
