TORONTO, April 23 (UPI) -- A deep drive to left-center by Kevin Millar with none out in the 11th brought home Vernon Wells from third Wednesday, delivering Toronto an 8-7 win over Texas.

The Blue Jays let a three-run lead get away in the ninth inning, but eventually scored the game winner against Darren O'Day (0-1), who came to the Rangers this week from the New York Mets on a waiver claim.

Making his first appearance alongside players he had barely had time to meet, O'Day walked Wells to open the 11th. Travis Snider sacrificed Wells to second and Scott Rolen was intentionally walked before Millar lined a shot into the gap for what was officially recorded as a single.

Rod Barajas hit a pair of two-run homers to help stake Toronto to a 7-3 lead through seven innings. Texas still trailed 7-4 going into the ninth, but the Rangers produced two runs on a hit batsman, a walk, a throwing error and a ground out. Michael Young then homered to center to tie the game and force extra innings.

The win went to Jason Frasor (3-0), the sixth Toronto pitcher who recorded the final six outs without allowing a hit.
