PHILADELPHIA, April 22 (UPI) -- Todd Coffey survived a shaky ninth inning to earn his second save Wednesday and hand Milwaukee a 3-1 decision over Philadelphia.

The Brewers took a 3-0 lead into the ninth and had to sweat out the victory

Coffey allowed a one-out homer to Jayson Werth, then gave up singles to Raul Ibanez and Matt Stairs. With the tying runs on base and two away, Coffey got Chris Coste to strike out swinging and end the game.

That made a winner out of Branden Looper (2-0), who allowed five hits over six innings.

J.J. Hardy hit a solo homer for the game's first run in the fifth and Mike Cameron delivered a two-run double in the sixth.

Joe Blanton (0-2) suffered the loss, giving up three runs on eight hits in six innings.
