
PHOENIX, April 22 (UPI) -- Dan Haren and two relievers combined on a nine-hit shutout Wednesday when the Arizona Diamondbacks recorded a 2-0 win over the Colorado Rockies.
Haren (1-3) gave up six hits in six scoreless innings with two walks and nine strikeouts.
Tony Pena gave up a hit in a scoreless eighth, while Chad Qualls earned his fourth save despite giving up two hits in the top of the ninth.
A pinch RBI single by Arizona's Ryan Roberts in the seventh produced the game's first run, and later in the inning, Conor Jackson drew a bases-loaded walk.
Five others had one hit for the Diamondbacks, who have split their last four games.
Ryan Spilborghs led Colorado with four of its nine hits.
Seth Smith and Brad Hawpe added two hits apiece for the Rockies, who have lost five of six.
Losing pitcher Jorge De La Rosa (0-2) surrendered two earned runs and six hits in 6 2/3 innings with four walks and six strikeouts.
