Tommie Harris' wife dies

PITTSBURGH, April 21 (UPI) -- Freddy Sanchez was 3-for-4 with a solo homer Tuesday, keying the Pittsburgh Pirates' 3-2 victory over the Florida Marlins.
Adam LaRoche and Jason Jaramillo each had an RBI for the Pirates, who have won four of their last five games.
Jeff Karstens (1-0) allowed one run on three hits in six innings and Matt Capps pitched a scoreless ninth for his fourth save for Pittsburgh.
Hanley Ramirez had a RBI double and Cameron Maybin a solo home run drive in the Marlins runs. Anibal Sanchez (1-1) was the losing pitcher after giving up three runs on seven hits in seven innings.
