
SAN JOSE, Calif., April 20 (UPI) -- Jonas Hiller made 42 saves on 44 shots Sunday to lead the Anaheim Ducks to a 2-1 win over San Jose and a 2-0 lead in the Western Conference quarterfinal series.
Bobby Ryan, Andrew Ebbett and Drew Miller scored for the Ducks -- who beat the top-seeded Sharks for a second straight game on San Jose ice.
Ryane Clowe and Jonathan Cheechoo scored for the Sharks -- who came into the series with a 32-5-4 regular-season home-ice record and captured the President's Trophy for putting up the best NHL regular-season record in 2009.
Ryan opened the scoring at 3:45 of the first, getting a power-play goal after assists by James Wisniewski and Ryan Whitney. Clowe scored the equalizer unassisted at 5:38 of the second.
After goals by Ebbett and Miller put the Ducks up 3-1 in the third, Cheechoo scored at 13:54 but Quick kept the Sharks out of the goal the rest of the way.
Game 3 is set for Tuesday in Anaheim.
