RALEIGH, N.C., April 19 (UPI) -- Travis Zajac's overtime goal Sunday gave the New Jersey Devils a 3-2 win over Carolina and a 2-1 lead in their Eastern Conference quarterfinal series.

Zajac was assisted by Zach Parise and Colin White on the game-winner just under 5 minutes into the extra session.

Parise and Brian Gionta scored the other Devils' goals.

Ryan Bayda and Chad LaRose posted the Hurricanes' scores.

New Jersey goalie Martin Brodeur totaled 28 saves and Cam Ward had 35 for Carolina.

Game 4 will be in Raleigh, N.C., Tuesday.
