NEW YORK, April 19 (UPI) -- Jorge Posada's controversial two-run seventh-inning homer Sunday helped the New York Yankees beat Cleveland 7-3, a day after a 22-4 loss.
Posada's blast capped a three-run inning, which erased a 3-1 Cleveland advantage.
His one-out fly ball into the right field seats was touched by a fan and bounced off the wall before it fell back onto the field.
The homer was upheld after the first video replay this season.
Cody Ransom's lone hit, a three-run eighth-inning double, secured New York's second victory in three games, while seven other Yankees had one hit.
The winner was reliever Jonathan Albaladejo (1-0).
Cleveland scored on Shin-Soo Choo's second-inning solo homer and Ryan Garko's two-run blast in the fourth.
The losing pitcher was reliever Jensen Lewis (1-2).
The Indians have split eight games following a 0-5 start.
