MLB: Detroit 8, Seattle 2

SEATTLE, April 19 (UPI) -- Ramon Santiago drove in five runs for Detroit Sunday, leading the Tigers past the Seattle Mariners 8-2.

Santiago hit a bases-loaded double and drove in two other runs with a single and sacrifice bunt.

Winner Rick Porcello (1-1) allowed a run and five hits over seven innings, picking up his first win in the major leagues.

Ronny Cedeno belted a solo home run and Endy Chavez added an RBI for Seattle.

Carlos Silva (0-2) was the loser, yielding four runs and six hits in five innings.
