LUTZ, Fla., April 18 (UPI) -- Nick Price had a 4-under 67 Saturday to take a 3-shot lead after two rounds of the Champions Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am in Florida.
Price was at 9-under 133 after 36 holes. Jay Haas (68), Mike McCullough (69) and Larry Nelson (71) shared second place.
The 52-year-old Price, an 18-time winner on the PGA Tour, is looking for his first victory in two-plus seasons on the Champions Tour.
Price had seven consecutive pars to begin his round. He didn't make his first birdie until No. 8, where he made a 22-foot putt from the back of the green.
"When the wind is blowing the way it is and with the heat that we've got, I just knew the greens were going to get hot and fast. They firmed up and got a little quicker," said Price.
Price has two PGA Championships and a British Open victory.
